Areas of focus

Mental Health

Multiple on-going projects focus on the mental health impacts of disasters (such as floods and landslides) and other weather extremes (such as extreme heat and air pollution).

Mobility

Much of our work evaluates the impacts of environmental disasters on human mobility subsequent health outcomes. This research draws from a range of data resources, including survey based data collection, as well administrative records (e.g. Census, Medicare).

Health Equity

Current qualitative and quantitative projects evaluate the ways in which individual- and neighborhood-level disparities influence who is most likely to be exposed to climate-related events and how these exposures impact health outcomes. This work aims to engage community members throughout the research process.
