Multiple on-going projects focus on the mental health impacts of disasters (such as floods and landslides) and other weather extremes (such as extreme heat and air pollution).

Healthcare systems

Ongoing research evaluates the impact of extreme weather on healthcare systems. This research is focused largely on continuity of care for patients with pre-existing and chronic condition who rely on regular treatment.

Health Equity

Current qualitative and quantitative projects evaluate the ways in which individual- and neighborhood-level disparities influence who is most likely to be exposed to climate-related events and how these exposures impact health outcomes. This work aims to engage community members throughout the research process.
